Which Edition Should You Choose?

  • You have serious academic work to do or teach - the lightweight
    edition contains much fewer features and less useful programs than the full edition
  • Your computer has 512mb of memory or more
  • You have a DVD drive
  • You want a system decked out with the best tools and software
  • You want to be able to easily customize your installation
  • You have an old computer you need to usefully reinvigorate
    for your studies
  • You computer has 512mb of memory or less
  • You don't have a DVD drive
  • You don't plan to customize your installation a lot
  • You want a lightweight educationally-oriented system, for whatever reason
